�þ��Ƶ’s American Culture and English (ACE) Program provides conditionally admitted international undergraduate and graduate �þ��Ƶs with high-quality English language instruction and a challenging and supportive intellectual environment. This is combined with cultural and co-curricular opportunities that support �þ��Ƶs in being successful at Miami.

The ACE Program prepares international �þ��Ƶs for academic and cultural life at �þ��Ƶ.

ACE has been shown to directly contribute to future academic success as �þ��Ƶs move on to their degree programs after ACE.

ACE �þ��Ƶs can be found studying majors in every division on campus.

ACE �þ��Ƶs earn credit toward graduation while they are in ACE, and many graduate in four years or less.

Before I came here, I would say I’m shy. But when I came to ACE and finished it, I became more calm and much more confident. I think the biggest difference for me is that I can talk with other people and use English. Sometimes I will feel nervous, but sometimes I will feel, "Oh, now I can help someone for the for the test or the quiz," and I’m not afraid to speak with them.

Your Campus Experience

ACE �þ��Ƶs live on campus among Miami �þ��Ƶs, and they engage in coursework, co-curricular and extracurricular activities along with their American peers. They have access to academic and recreational opportunities, as well as a solid support system through the English Language Learners Writing Center, the InterfACE Mentor Program, customized academic advising, and career advising through the Center for Career Exploration and Success. As they work their way through the ACE program, �þ��Ƶs are able to fully adjust to life at Miami.

Miami has a good reputation as an old and well-established public university.
There are some scholarships available.
ACE is located on campus and is an easy walking distance to the central area of Oxford. The campus and the town are safe and beautiful with a nice climate and natural beauty.

When I was applying to colleges from my hometown in China, I didn't have a high enough TOEFL score, which is needed to be accepted in American universities. I heard about Miami's American Culture & English (ACE) program from a current senior, and she told me it's a really good way for international �þ��Ƶs to get familiar with Miami and improve their English, so I said, 'Okay, I'll go there!'
