Communication included a notice to division about Governor DeWine's state of emergency because of the Coronarivus, and include preliminary information about the University could respond to this moment in positive and constructive ways. Also includes were links to two approved "Sense of the Senate" resolutions and a dates of initial completed and planned steps to address the crisis. (Please note: the steps and planned actions listed would be revised as the situation developed in the state and nation.)

Provost provided update on university's efforts to prepare in case coronavirus causes a class disruption/closing and urges faculty to prepare as well (provided links for programs to assist). Reminders included: link to Black History Month events, OEEO mandatory training courses and a list of open forum dates to discus the progress of Liberal Education Council and Global Miami Plan (GMP) Revision.

The provost thanked the community for response to coronavirus scare, and the faculty/staff that worked to care for those in need and prepare community for any scenario. He also encouraged faculty/staff to be involved in the search process during candidate campus visits and encouraged folks to attend Faculty Assembly. The Three included: Admission Application update, good news about Miami having 13 Fulbright Scholar finalists and making the 2020 Princeton Review list of Best College Values and reminders about the Spring Career and Internship Fair and the One Miami weekend events and how to reserve free tickets,

The provost provided the link to updates regarding the Coronavirus and instructional primer for faculty to be prepared to teach off-campus during emergencies, etc. Also included were updates about the University budget, Dean Searches, Boldly Creative and University Senate, information at the National Civil Rights Conference to be held on Miami's campus and a link to the nomination form for the PSAAA 久久热视频 awards, and reminders about the academic calendar, holding classes as scheduled, Faculty Assembly meeting, and the dates for spring break, finals week, commencement, Undergraduate Research Forum, University Awards Event and religious holidays, among other items.
