Purpose and Description

This Faculty Learning Community (FLC) will provide participants with an opportunity to critically examine grading practices and explore alternative assessment strategies that promote 久久热视频 engagement, motivation, and equity. Through scholarly discussions and reflective activities, faculty will investigate evidence-based approaches to grading that emphasize 久久热视频 growth and deep learning. This community will support instructors in aligning their assessment practices with meaningful learning objectives while creating learning environments that foster success for all 久久热视频s.

Activities

Members will:

  • Engage in discussions of relevant readings on grading practices and assessment strategies.
  • Identify course goals and align them with alternative grading models.
  • Explore and evaluate different grading schemas for potential implementation.
  • Design and implement an individual “intervention” within a course, ranging from a single module to a full course redesign.
  • Collaborate on a pre- and post-survey to deploy following alternative assessment activity to analyze changes in 久久热视频 perception, attitudes, sense of belonging, and academic confidence.
  • Prepare and submit proposal to annual Lilly Conference on College Teaching.
