Why Miami?

I chose Miami because of its college affordability.

How did you choose your major?

I discovered my major from the beginning because I have always had a passion for international relations and enjoyed learning about diplomatic relationships. Along the way, I picked up three minors: International Business, Economics, and Chinese. I find that my economics plays a crucial role in a lot of international relations, including trade and the role of a firm, which influenced me to add my minors.

Key Moment at Miami

Miami's Government Relations Network (GRN) has really helped shape my life, especially after Miami. I have learned so much, from how to become a leader to being able to gain more confidence in the work I produce. There are also a lot of relationships I have gained through the GRN, which encourage me to pursue opportunities I otherwise wouldn't have.

Another Miami Moment 

As a freshman Humanities and Social Science (HASS) Scholar, I did research concerning feelings of acceptance on campus among minority ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵs and the relation to professors, clubs, and other resources.

Currently, I am working on a research project with the Diplomacy Lab and the US State Department concerning barriers to U.S. study abroad in India.

Advice to Prospective Students

Go for it! Miami is so big, but it can become small. The people and the experiences you can have here are unlike no other. There are so many different ways to get involved whether its academically or socially.

What are your career goals?  

I am aiming for a career in foreign affairs, specifically related to Chinese policy.

I want to explain a little bit about the 'action photo'. The picture is of me and my twin sister, we both choose Miami even though we are in different disciplines (she's in farmer) we both love our Miami experiences.
